An oasis in the desert
Al Ain, literally meaning The Spring, is the fourth largest City in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dubbed the Garden City of the UAE, it is located in Abu Dhabi with its borders touching Oman and is surrounded by magnificent red sand dunes and overlooked by an impressive mountain range.
Getting there
With its own international airport, you can enjoy low flight fares and direct flights to Al Ain or fly Dubai or Abu Dhabi and travel on road from there and take in the sights and sound by bus, which is (140 km) from Abu Dhabi and (100 km) from Dubai.
Transportation
Travel around this beautiful city via the local brown taxis that are easy to find and cheap while the silver taxis are a little more expensive but better equipped. As of September 2009, the city has started a local bus service.

Al Ain offers a plethora of attractions that invite tourists as well as locals to its doors. The most spectacular being Jebel Hafeet range, the second tallest mountain in the UAE at 1350 meters offering amazing views, especially at sunset. The Camel Souq, the Al Ain Museum and Fort, the Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium are among other popular attractions for visitors.
