The Langhorne Garden is AA 3 star rated Guest Accommodation, and is one of Folkestone's most respected, family run hotels. There are a wide choice of activities, sports, entertainments, restaurants and shopping facilities, all within easy reach of the hotel and the Leas Cliff Hall is right on the doorstep, offering some of Folkestone's best nights out. The pretty harbour and seafront are also only a few minutes' walk away. The Langhorne has been tastefully refurbished and offers cosy accommodation and is the ideal base to explore some of the Garden of England and is perfect for overnight stays when using the Channel Tunnel or the ferries at nearby Dover. There are dozens of pretty villages in the unspoilt surrounding countryside, with many beautiful walks or rides. Another major attraction in the area is Leeds Castle - "The Loveliest Castle in the World", near Maidstone. Visitors come from miles around to visit the ancient cathedral city of Canterbury - make sure you don't miss out. Alternatively, maybe the fascinating Battle of Britain Museum in nearby Hawkinge will interest you. The hotel has two bars to choose from, depending on your mood. The main bar is on the ground floor and caters for hotel guests. Directly below is Harvey's Bar which serves a fine selection of bar meals, wines, and real ales - offering log fires in winter and a garden patio in summer. This is an ideal place to meet friends for a pleasant lunch. The hotel itself is graded as guest accommodation on the basis that we do not serve evening meals during the months of January, February and March (basically until after easter.) We are centrally located in the town with approximately ten restaurants of all types withing a two minute walk - why would we try and compete when there is such a choice on our doorstep and 99% of our guests at this time of year are booking in for bed and breakfast only! For the rest of the year we offer traditional food from 6.30 till 7pm
The Langhorne is a Victorian property dating from about 1870 and all bedrooms are spacious, many with period features. We have dedicated single rooms as well as family rooms which can accommodate two adults and up to four children.
The Langhorne Garden Hotel has been tastefully refurbished and offers cosy accommodation. From the moment you arrive you'll be warmly welcomed and taken great care of by the Fell family who own and run this friendly hotel. You can really relax in the comfy surroundings of the main lounge, which is bright and spacious. The elegant dining room, also situated on the ground floor, offers traditional English cooking for which we are always receiving praise from our guests.

Mobility Description:
With regards to 'wheelchair bound' customers we do have a problem with our building. Although we have ramped access to the hotel from the road and all the public areas being accessible; due to the hotel being built in the 1880's, the size of the lift is too small to fit a 'normal' sized wheelchair. We can fit a very small chair, usually without foot rests and where the handles collapse and assuming the person is of a reasonable size. The lift will not accommodate the larger chair with the big, self-propelling wheels, or any of the motorised chairs. In practice we do keep a small wheelchair in the hotel which fits into the lift, or people use the lift without the chair; the chair following on a second journey if required to be used in the bedroom. This is by no means ideal but because of the age of the building it is impossible to remedy the problem without completely rebuilding the lift shaft to fit a lift at least twice as big - a solution which is uneconomical for us.
