The Barn is a tradtional old barn conversion situated in a small farming hamlet on the gentle slopes of South Dartmoor. We offer quality accommodation in a peaceful and relaxing environment. There are a wealth of attractions within easy reach such as Dartmoor 365 square miles of moorland formed from a granite plateau in the Ice Age a million years ago. Visit the old stone/bronze age hut circles and pre-historic stone rows and Buckfast Abbey a Benedictine Monastery with a thousand years of Christian history. The market town of Newton Abbot and the medieval town of Tavistock are within easy reach. The Primrose Steam Railway Line for enthusiasts or anyone who would enjoy a trip down memory lane runs from Buckfastleigh to Totnes through the beautiful River Dart Valley. Our location is ideal for walkers being directly on the 2 Moors Way and one good days walk from Ivybridge. We only keep two ground floor rooms for letting which helps to preserve the atmosphere and intimacy of The Barn. Both rooms are individually furnished and equipped to a high standard and include; LCD TV with DVD & Freeview channels ipod speakers a well filled hospitality box and fridge with complimentary Dartmoor spring water. Both rooms are ensuite and have showers. Add quality bedlinen big fluffy towels and fresh flowers and you have a recipe for a very comfortable and restful stay.

Mobility Description:
Both rooms are ground floor and near to the car park. The Barn is most suitable for people with mobility issues who can stand and walk a couple of steps as there isn`t much "wriggle room" in the toilet or shower although there is ample room for a wheel chair around the beds and in the hallway.

Directions:
Leave A38 Devon Expressway at the Dartbridge Junction (appx 25 miles between Exeter and Plymouth). See brown signs for Buckfast Abbey and Butterfly Farm. Follow signs for the Abbey. With Abbey entrance on your right go to top of hill see signs for Scoriton/Holne & Tradesmans Arms. Turn right into lanes for 2 miles and turn left at sign for Tradesmans Arms. On entering village see letterbox and notice board on left and row of white cottages ahead. Turn left up lane and The Barn is 50yds on left.;
