Durlock Lodge is an 18th Century lodge which offers guest house accommodation and a self catering studio in the tranquil Kent countryside. Guest accommodation in the lodge includes a complimentary continental breakfast. Our four poster room is ideal for romantic occasions. Pets are only allowed in the self catering studio. Unfortunately pets are not allowed in the lodge. The quiet village of Minster is located within 6 miles of Broadstairs with its harbour and beach Sandwich (Cinque Port & Pfizers Discovery Park) and Ramsgate (marina & beach). Durlock is surrounded by farmland with a range of country walks and cycle routes. There is a railway station within five minutes walk that will take you to Canterbury in 15 minutes or just under two hours to London. There is a good choice of restaurants & pubs in the village within a 10 minute walk . Highly recommended is The Corner House Restaurant and Bar ( cornerhouserestaurants. co.uk) a personal favourite as our son owns it and just 3 minutes walk away! There are a range of diverse attractions and activities for good weather or bad including the Turner Contemporary and Dreamland in Margate plus great beaches and exciting tunnels to explore in Ramsgate . Broadstairs also has great beaches and Bleak House where Dicken's wrote his famous novel of the same name.

Mobility Description:
Durlock Lodge was buit in 1700 and unfortunately all rooms are on the first floor . We will make every effort to accomodate those with mobility issues but none of the rooms are suitable for wheelchair users. We apologies for any inconvenience.

• Although we do not have a dining room there are dining facillities in your room so you can enjoy your self service continental breakfast in privacy as early or late as you wish. There is a new road layout and your Sat Nav may not know this At the Prospect roundabout (you will see a Coop. petrol station) follow signposts to Minster village off of the A299 and ignore your sat nav if it tells you to go to Ramsgate.
