The George Inn is located in the pretty village of Brompton Regis and is the village Inn and shop. As a traditional 16th Century Village Inn Free house in the beautiful Exmoor National Park not far from Dulverton and Wimbleball Lake offering a friendly village inn atmosphere with en-suite accommodation and quality wholesome pub food and well kept ales. If you are staying overnight or for a weekend for one of the many pursuits that Exmoor has to offer we hope you will enjoy your time here with us. Stay in our en-suite guest rooms named after guest beers or private self catering accommodation in our barn cottage. With Wimbleball Lake and Dulverton nearby the George is perfectly placed for outdoor activities such as sailing canoeing or fishing on Wimbleball Lake cycling riding or sightseeing. The pub has wonderful views and a favourite activity is to sit in the pub and just look at the view either from the garden or inside the pub. Our aim is to preserve theEnglish Village Inn so we will have home made dishes on our menu from local produce including our famous Exmoor Beast Pie with guest ales to compliment the local real ales from Exmoor and other localities.
All rooms in the main building have a shower three have a bath as well and great views to Haddon Hill all southerly facing. Tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries are available with a complimentary bottled Exmoor Water. Rooms are centrally heated with TV Freeview DVD player and Wireless Broadband. In the Cottage there are two bedrooms with C/H and bathroom. On the ground floor is a lounge with TV Freeview DVD player and Wireless Broadband seperate cloakroom and kitchen
All the food at The George Inn is freshly prepared and consists of local produce from the area. We also have local real ales that guests can sit back and enjoy in our cosy bar with its friendly atmosphere. Each of the rooms at the guest house have wonderful views across Exmoor National Park. Dogs are welcome at the property and you're be sure to meet Huckleberry our own dog. Guests will benefit from complimentary toiletries and wireless in their bedrooms.

Mobility Description:
The front door to the pub is 32 wide and leads into a 4" wide corridor with a 5 step (portable ramp available). There is a second door 3" wide with another shallow step into the main room. The pub is carpeted with slate tiles around the bar area. There is a wood burning fire at the bar end. Furniture is polished wood with scatter cushions on the window seats. The dining room has a polished wood floor and carpet. The side entrance has a 7 step and the door is 2"4 wide. The stairs are accessed through a narrow door and the steep L-shaped staircase is between 3 and 34 wide with rises of between 7 and 9 with a grab rail on the left. Beware of the low beam on the left side of the landing. All the rooms are on the first floor and accessed through a door 24 wide from the landing. The corridor varies in width from 32 to 36 and there are two double steps 7 and 9 over its length. The corridor and staircase are well lit and the floors are carpeted.

Directions:
Leave the M5 at junction 25 via Taunton and after following the A358 towards Minehead from Taunton turn left onto the B3224 towards Raleighs Cross at Bishops Lydeard. Then keep straight on at Beulah Chapel (just past Raleghs Cross) to the B3190 which you will need to turn right at the Roborough Gate turn which is signposted to Wimbleball Lake and Brompton Regis. When you drive into the village look for the church and follow the road around the church and The George Inn is next to the church.;
