The Dreadnought Hotel was originally built in the 17th century by the Chieftain of the Clan Macnab, as a hostelry for his fellow clansmen travelling to the north. Today, the Dreadnought retains its distinctive character and title as a main Callander landmark, with original features including the wood panelled lounge bar and the listed stained glass windows.
The hotel has 55 comfortable en suite bedrooms, fusing the best of traditional features with modern comforts. The meticulous approach to décor applies to its restaurant and bar, where guests can wind down with a dram of local whiskey and soak up the relaxing charm and atmosphere of this character-filled hotel.
Based on the fringe of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the hotel makes an ideal location for a Scottish break.
