It’s the outside space that makes this villa a great choice. As well as a good-sized garden, there’s a roomy rectangular pool, a sundeck with a barbecue, and a roof terrace, so it’s great for spending quality time outdoors.

Inside, it’s all very homey with terracotta tiled floors topped with rugs and mismatched furniture. There’s a snug living room, as well as a bigger open-plan lounge and dining room. Each space comes kitted out with a comfy sofa and chairs, plus a TV. Extras like a DVD and a CD player add the finishing touches.

The three bedrooms are pretty simple spaces with whitewashed walls and dark-wood beds. They’re all twins, but the best one is on the first floor and comes with a private terrace and sea views.

Lastly, there’s the location. This villa is set in a residential area on the outskirts of the old town of Albufeira – to get to town it’ll take about ten minutes in a car. It takes the same amount of time to get to the beach, while cafés and bars are closer – about 20 minutes on foot or five in the car.
