We are always delighted to find hotels where the level of service is personal and guests in residence feel that they represent much more than just a room number. Guests staying here can use the facilities at its larger neighbour, Hotel Argentina, (including its pool), yet retreat back to the timeless and attractively faded grandeur at the Orsula. Built in 1936 and renovated over the winter 2002/03, the Orsula combines old-style tradition with modern levels of comfort, especially in the spacious suites with their separate sitting room, second bathroom and corner terrace. All twin rooms and suites face the sea and the wooded island of Lokrum.
Entrance to the hotel is at first floor level. Steps meander down the cliffside past a tinkling fountain and benches set out in the dappled shade of pine, cypress and olive trees to the hotel's own swimming and sunbathing platform on the rocks below.
