Relax and unwind in elegant comfortable surroundings, letting your affable hosts provide you with all you require to ensure a truly wonderful stay. This rare gem of a hotel offers the distinctive appeal of a country manor house in the heart of one of the Souths most popular resorts. Whether you are in town for business, a short break, or a longer holiday, Wood Lodge is your ideal base. Our principle aim is to make sure every one of our guests feels well looked after and comfortable. Enjoy a drink in our cosy bar, relax in our 2 spacious lounges, watch TV on the 42" screen, play pool or darts, or simply take the time to sit and read, enjoying the warm peaceful atmosphere here. We have fifteen bedrooms, ranging from singles, large family rooms and a beautiful romantic deluxe bedroom, with 4 poster Jacobean style mahogany king-size bed. We offer a wide range of breakfasts, from Full English to Continental, pancakes, and smoked haddock. Our 3 course high quality home cooked evening meals are well worth sampling over a candlelit dinner. All meals are served in our lovely dining room, overlooking our nature rich back garden. Just 2 minutes walk takes you to the clifftop, and 5 minutes takes you to the promenade and beach. A 15 minutes walk along the promenade, the clifftop, or through the town itself, takes you to The Square in the centre of town. We are just 2 minutes in a taxi from Bournemouth Travel Interchange (the main coach and rail station), and 10-15 minutes drive from Bournemouth International Airport. Easy to visit from here are so many attractions... Poole quay, the harbour, and Brownsea Island, the New Forest, Beaulieu, Christchurch Priory, Christchurch Ski Centre, the Oceanarium, Monkey World, Lulworth Castle, the list is endless.
Our rooms show high standards of cleanliness and comfort. Each room has remote control TV (some with freeview) and DVD/CD players. Each room has a radio alarm clock, hospitality tray (tea, coffee, etc). 14 of our rooms are ensuite with either bath or shower and we have 1 room which is not ensuite but does have it's own private bathroom. Many of the rooms overlook the front or back gardens. Good quality towels are provided, as well as bathroom beauty products and a hairdryer.
You can enjoy a tipple in our cosy inviting bar, or relax in either one of the two spacious lounges. The first lounge is a quiet reading lounge, the second, a bar lounge with 42" plasma screen TV and snooker table. There's also lots of magazines and books available in the lounges and plenty of board games, as well as playing cards and dominoes. We also have a dart board, so set up your own mini tournament! In the garden there is a 9 hole putting course for you to enjoy.

We use local products and suppliers wherever possible, operating a unique food ordering system which ensures minimal waste of food, unlike other hotels who we know must waste so much every day - which is a terrible shame when food is costly and there are so many needy people in the world - our country included. We use energy saving lightbulbs and recycle as much of our waste as possible. We ask that guests consider the environment when deciding whether they would like all of their towels changed each day. We care for the environment around us, because there is so much natural beauty here, and we want it to last.
