The Devon Country House and Wine School is a wonderfully comfortable and peaceful place to come and stay. Our guests have their own spacious sitting room with a wood burning stove. Furnished with antiques and comfortable leather chesterfields and Persian rugs the guest sitting room has French windows out onto the terrace with commanding views over our orchard and tennis court and the surrounding fields. Our 5 bedrooms are named after villages in Frances famous Beaujolais wine region. The rooms are individually furnished with carefully chosen antiques and have really comfortable super king size beds (6 foot by 6 foot 6 inches). We use top quality Egyptian cotton sheets and large luxury bath towels. On the first floor of the barn we have 2 elegant double bedrooms a double with en-suite shower room (Morgon) and a twin/double with en-suite bath and shower (Juliénas). Right next to the barn we have converted the single storey Old Dairy into 3 further en-suite bedrooms (Saint Amour Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent) all with lovely high ceilings and views over our garden and surrounding countryside. Free wi-fi is available throughout the communal areas Tariff is per room per night and includes full English breakfast. Carols food is highly thought of thats why you will find us in the 2012 Michelin Guide. We do a set 3 course dinner with coffee by arrangement for parties of 4 or more from Wednesday to Saturday for £37.50 per person which includes a glass of our excellent House Red or House White. Carol is an experienced cook and menus can be designed to meet any individual needs. We source our food from local suppliers whenever possible. Our hens supervised by our cockerel Eric are in charge of eggs. You don't have to do a wine course to come and stay with us but the Devon Country House and Wine School was identified by Jonathan Ray of the Daily Telegraph as one of the Top 10 places in the UK to learn more about wine
