Distant Hills Guest House Spean Bridge near Fort William provides visitors to the Highlands with stylish bungalow accommodation. This four star guest house offers modern B&B facilities and delicious home cooked food in a quiet village location. The guest house is located in its own spacious grounds on the edge of Spean Bridge but only five minutes walk from the village centre. If you enjoy sight seeing Ben Nevis and Loch Ness are 10 and 20 minutes drive respectively. A day trip to the Isle of Skye is one of the breathtaking drives in the area and perhaps exploring the beautiful beaches on the road to the Isles on another day. Distant Hills is the perfect place to relax after a busy day touring the Highlands. There is a large guest lounge with satellite television DVD player selection of books magazines and FREE secure wireless internet access throughout the building. The guest house is set in lovely gardens which can be enjoyed in good weather. In the morning a delicious home cooked breakfast awaits sourced from local suppliers where possible. Please note: We prefer payment by cash or UK debit card. We also accept credit cards non UK debit cards and some charge cards but please note that these card payments will incur a premium of 4% which represents the processing cost of the transaction There is no "family room" in Distant Hills so we have decided to focus on creating a relaxed and peaceful place for singles couples and older families. We therefore do not accept children under 12 years of age.
Distant Hills offers seven ensuite bedrooms which are well furnished and most enjoy views of the burn (stream) and the garden. Our home is not blessed with large rooms (our rooms have an average size of 15 square metres which includes the ensuites) so we aim to provide quality in the rooms quality breakfasts and quality service. If the size of the bedroom is the most important thing to you then perhaps Distant Hills may not be for you.
Distant Hills has a large comfortable guest lounge which faces south on to the gardens. It is equipped with a flat screen TV satellite TV receiver DVD player a selection of books and magazines and board games. Free wireless internet access is available throughout the building for guests with their own devices. Guests are encouraged to use the garden which has a selection of outdoor seating and a boules set. A large stream runs through the garden.

We try to minimise our impact on the environment by making use of low energy lighting photo voltaic panels to generate electricity high levels of insulation water saving devices recycling and composting. We source our food as local as possible and keep our own small flock of 13 hens to produce our free range breakfast eggs.
