The Rose in Vale is set in its own private wooded valley of some ten acres. This provides a lovely retreat for you take time to relax away from the stresses of life. In the summer months our swimming pool is a real heat trap and therefore a popular place for guests to spend the afternoon with a good book and a drink ! Cornwall does become very busy in the height of summer, but the Rose in Vale always offers a peaceful haven for you to return to.
On colder days and nights, our cosy and welcoming sitting rooms with their sofas, open log and coal fires, are a great place to enjoy an afternoon, maybe playing one our of our board games. Afternoon tea is served at 4pm or you could have something a bit stronger from our bar.

We pride ourselves in being a real foodie hotel. We have held an AA Rosette every year since 2007. Evening dinner at the Rose in Vale is definitely something to look forward to, in our beautiful restaurant overlooking the gardens and terraces..... it is the perfect way to end your day.
In the kitchen we have a talented team of chefs headed up by our Head Chef Colin Hankins. Every day they create a new menu, taking full advantage of the fresh Cornish harvest from both land and sea. Everything is homemade here, just as it should be, giving you Cornish food at its best !
On Saturday nights our resident pianist plays throughout dinner.
