Gordon & Michelle offer you a warm welcome to The Minffordd Hotel Tal-y-llyn. An informal relaxed friendly & cosy place to stay in a building that has welcomed visitors for over 3 centuries. The Minffordd hotel is a family run hotel in Tal-y-llyn valley Mid Wales is set in probably the most breathtaking scenery in Britain and is literally situated at the base of the Cader Idris. The original parts of the building are over 400 years old so as you would expect the walls are very thick and made of local stone there are plenty of originally features which can be seen throughout the building and our log fire which is a key feature during the winter months. All Rooms have en-suite facilities and are equipped with a complimentary hospitality tray for a refreshing cup of tea or coffee. We pride ourselves on the high standard of cleanliness maintained to achieve this standard and to ensure our guests complete comfort all rooms are serviced on a daily basis and as you would expect freshly laundered towels and bedding is used for each room let. We have 2 lounges available for guest to relax in at any time of the day and an extensively well stocked bar to enjoy. Our restaurant seats a maximum of twenty people for dinner our chef Darrens cooks using local fresh produce wherever possible food he produces is not over complicated with generous portions of wholesome well cooked & presented dishes. Main courses start from £12. Most items that appear on our menu are made in our own kitchen from soups & sauce starters & desserts. Breakfast is also served in the restaurant serving a selection of fresh fruit cereals porridge with honey fruit juices yogurts Full breakfasts are cooked freshly to order with a fish and vegetarian option also available PLEASE NOTE - We do not have TVs - The Front Door is Locked at Midnight & Front Door Keys Are Not Issued - A Deposit WIll Be Taken For All Reservations At The Time Of Booking
All our rooms are well maintained and decorated to a high standard all 7 rooms have been recently refurbished All room are fully central heated and supplied with freshly laundered towels & bedding. We use duvets & sheets with extra blankets & pillows available if needed. Tea & coffee making facilities complimentary toiletries and daily room service is to be expected for all rooms. All rooms have natural welsh spring water on tap supplied by our very own bore hole. We Dont Have TV In Rooms
