Chapel House is located in the heart of the Dorset countryside and away from noisy roads. It is a converted chapel which has been made into a comfortable four bedroom home. Guests may use all the downstairs rooms. The house is furnished with antique furniture and in the evenings we love to light candles to create an a memorable atmosphere, We have open fires to create a home from home if its cold and wet.
When the weather is good or not guests may sit out in the verandah or enjoy the conservatory, Guests may make their own tea, coffee or chocolate drinks in the kitchen which has a large aga to lean on. Please note we do not accept children under the age of 7 years A big kitchen table is the setting for breakfasts cooked by the host and everyone gets to know everyone, perculated cofee or tea with bacon and eggs and toast provide a perfect start to the day. If the weather is warm we can take breakfast outside in our small, intimate but sunny garden. The house has an interesting collection of books mainly of architectural, natural history and historical interest which guests may read. The house is situated close3 to the Hardy trail and there are wonderfull walks to be taken, houses and gardens to visit and the beautifull coastline stretching from Poole harbour in the east to Lyme Regis in the west. A magnificent and, varied shoreline lies in betwean.
Inland sleepy villages and rolling hills await exploration. There is a pub within walking distance which provides meals and other pubs and restaurants within a short drive., Above all our wish is to make guests welcome in a relaxed and casual environment.
