Dalrachney is a former Edwardian Hunting Lodge dating from 1845 set in 2 acre grounds within the Cairngorms National Park and rests directly beside our own stretch of the Dulnain River. Our Bistro menu features locally sourced food and a good selection of wines and whiskies. We have Egyptian cotton bed linen Heirlooms towels and Floris toiletries. The property retains its original pitched pine woodwork and high corniced ceilings and new furnishings are in keeping with the character of the Lodge. In the cooler months a log fire in the delightful Drawing Room provides a warm welcome. Carrbridge was described by Queen Victoria as "the jewel of the North". In the museum at Fochabers there is a dog cart used by King George V during his stay at Dalrachney Lodge. Dalrachney is an ideal base for a memorable break. There are 11 well furnished bedrooms in the Lodge with private/en-suite facilities and many have superb views for miles over the grounds the River Dulnain Cromdale Hills and the Cairngorm mountains.
Our comfortable lounge looks south over the Cairngorm mountains. Roe deer and rare birds can often be seen from the window. A beautiful period fireplace features and when the log fire is lit it is just the place to sit in comfort before or after dinner and recall the day's activities over a well deserved whisky or good bottle of wine. Furnishings throughout are in keeping with the character and atmosphere of the Lodge
