The Chequers Inn is a charming and peaceful characteristic countryside inn with recently refurbished and decorated 3-en suite letting rooms and pleasant dining areas overlooking the village green in a delightful Oxfordshire village of Charney Bassett. The Chequers has been licensed to serve fine ales stout wines and spirits since early 1800s. Although in the countryside the location is convenient for Oxford and Swindon as well as the Vale of the White Horse market towns of Faringdon Abingdon and Wantage. The 3 en-suite rooms are bright spacious and pleasantly furnished to ensure your stay is a comfortable one. All have their separate entrance so you can come and go as you please. All have free Wi-Fi and a desk for working as well as tea and coffee facilities king size bed hairdryer and flat screen digital TV. For the comfort of all our guests we have a non-smoking policy in all rooms. There will be continental breakfast in your room from Mon-Friday @ £5.75 for those on the road early.
