Ard-na-Coille is a 5 Star Guest House set in 3 acres of beautiful, private, elevated and unspoilt countryside in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. Approached by a winding driveway flanked by mature trees, you will feel you are leaving the real world behind as the trees part to reveal an elegant house. Ard-na-Coille offers luxury accommodation together with stunning views. We have 4 beautiful bedrooms all furnished and equipped to a high standard, all of which are ensuite. As well as a sumptuous lounge and snug area where you can relax and unwind, why not have a game of snooker on our full size table. Ard-na-Coille is ideally located in the centre of the Highlands (appx 20 mins from Aviemore and appx 1 hour from Inverness) for walking, golfing or for a romantic break or special occasion. We are sure you will find us to be one of the best Guest Houses in the Highlands - check out our guest reviews! We are delighted to have recently been awarded a 5* Guest House rating by VisitScotland and a 5 Gold Star rating by the AA, both in 2009 - we are the only Guest House in the Highlands and Islands to have achieved both awards. Built in approximately 1920 for Sir John and Lady Cargill, Ard-na-Coille is a stunning former Hunting Lodge which retains many of its original features including a beautiful original sandstone fireplace. Ard-na-Coille featured in the "Monarch of the Glen" BBC TV programme as "Glenbogle Golf Club" and many of the cast stayed here during filming. We are approximately one hour from Inverness Airport and approximately 20 minutes from Aviemore. Newtonmore is an ideal base to explore the Highlands and Islands of Scotland! We are also just minutes away from the main A9. Ard-na-Coille Guest House has been refurbished to a very high standard and we look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful Guest House! As you would expect, we are a licensed no smoking Guest House. Please note we cannot accommodate children under 14 years of age
