The Palmer Flatt Hotel is situated above the picturesque Aysgarth Falls in the heart of Wensleydale. You can visit the higher, middle and lower falls which all have an inpidual beauty during every season. The Main falls were used for the fight scene between Robin Hood and John Little in the movie Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. There are several other attractions surrounding the hotel including, The Forbidden Corner, a strange but fascinating visitors experience for all age groups. Bolton Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned before escaping in 1568, holds many 'active' attractions throughout the year. Hardraw Falls are close by (also used in the filming of Robin Hood), also Redmire and West Burton Falls. There are numerous walks for you to enjoy ranging from a few miles to strenuous long distance walks, which have featured in the ?Inn Way? walking guides. The Palmer Flatt Hotel is mid way between Leyburn and Hawes, Leyburn is known as the gateway to the Dale. Hawes for its Market and Mart and the home of the Wensleydale Creamery.

• We have a large but cosy traditional styled restaurant, there is a conservatory area overlooking the terrace and garden with gorgeous views of the hills beyond. The conservatory may be used for private parties, and has a seperate bar. Our menu features home cooked traditional food, with an excellent selection of wines. Meals may be served in the bar both lunchtime and evening. In good weather, all meals including breakfast may be served on the patio.Regular Summer Barbeques too!
