Comprising of a 17thC dower house with a collection of former farm buildings located in rolling countryside the Coach House has been tastefully renovated and is the perfect retreat to base yourself from. The Coach House is halfway between Newcastle and Edinburgh on the A697 and is conveniently located to allow easy access to all the treasures located in the 'Secret Kingdom' of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. The traditional bedrooms upstairs in the dower house offer exposed beams and plenty of character. The tastefully converted bedrooms set around the sun filled courtyard offer spacious fully equipped and disabled friendly accommodation. The large vaulted residents lounge and bar features a great open fire with lovely views over the terrace and orchard where Black Welsh Mountain sheep & our flock of chickens graze beneath Damson trees. Complementary afternoon tea is served in the lounge to all guests and on a warm afternoon you can enjoy refreshments in the suntrap that is our expansive terrace. Breakfast is served in our 2 elegant dining rooms with period fireplaces beams and feature windows and dinner is available each evening although we strongly recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment.

Mobility Description:
We have a selection of spacious ground floor bedrooms available. Our premier disabled room has low level switches wide doors along with a sliding door into en-suite bathroom. We can also raise the height of the bed if required. Bathroom features large roll-in shower area separate bath with vertical and horizontal bar supports and support arms both sides of WC. Lounge and dining rooms are also on the ground floor with a slight ramp into dining rooms.

If travelling from the south head towards Newcastle on the A1. Continue around Newcastle on the A1 bypass and continue north. Twenty miles north by Morpeth turn left onto the A697. Continue 38 miles north passing Wooler and Milfield. We are three miles north of the village of Milfield. After a long stretch downhill there is a sharp right bend and we are 100 metres further on the left side.;
