Recently awarded Enjoy England Breakfast Award Cadson was well and truly established by the time Charles I and his troops crossed the Bridge over the River Lynher in 1643 fresh from victory at the Battle of Braddock Down. Today the entrance to Cadson leads to the imposing house which has been lived in and improved over the years and now presents a Georgian face to the world. Inside the accommodation is spacious and welcoming and gas central heating and electric showers provide comforts that would have amazed owners from the distant past. The view down the valley is over meadows grazed by sheep and horses and the Manor's fishing lake. For the keen - or even not so keen - fisherman our 2-acre lake is stocked with mirror and common carp tench bream gudgeon and roach. The view also encompasses Cadson Bury an iron age hill fort owned by the National Trust. A large picnic area is available nearby for your use. No smoking in the house however there is a covered smokers area outside. Traditionally furnished and full of country charm all rooms have lovely views of the surrounding countryside. You will approach Cadson Manor by the drive which takes you alongside the house and up to the impressive main door and portico at the front. Upon entering a Cornish slate floor in the hallways leads to the main staircase. On either side of the larger hallway the breakfast and drawing rooms are situated the former having a unique open granite fireplace of very large proportions. The four bedrooms are all positioned off the main staircase and landing area each sympathetically decorated.

Mobility Description:
Parking is on a level pea gravel drive in front of the main entrance where there is ample parking for numerous cars within feet of the main entrance or 10 yards of the self-catering unit. Assistance is given with your luggage if required. Bed & Breakfast At the main entrance there is one step 8" high onto a granite plinth which is approximately 2 meters deep. There is a further step approximately 4" high to the main door which has a 2" high weather bar over the threshold. The three bedrooms in the main house are all located on the first floor and carpeted throughout. The premises does not have a lift. Self Catering Unit The self-catering unit has a level approach over gravel and paved brick path to the rear of the building with a 5" high step over the threshold. To the left are the lounge & dining room and at the far end of the lounge is a door to the staircase leading to the first floor. The staircase has 14 steps with 8.5" risers which are quite steep.
