New Moor House is a 200 year old Georgian former coaching inn nestling in the midst of spectacular countryside at the crossroads of the old drove road (the B6341), once used to take sheep from the Cheviot hills to market in Alnwick, and the A697. We are situated within easy reach of both the Heritage Coastline and the Cheviots and conveniently located between the ancient and fascinating market towns of Alnwick (7 miles) and Rothbury (4 miles), both with numerous shops, pubs and restaurants. Surrounded by sweeping moorland with panoramic views to Coe Crag, Hedgehope and Cheviot, this is ideal walking country. The roads in either direction lead across open moorland, offering hilltop and woodland walks and numerous vantage points from which one can take in the wonderful scenery and breathtaking views. Briar and Rose cottages both have four poster beds and log burning stoves and offer the ideal romantic retreat for couples. "Hay holts" with soundproofed interconnecting doorways allow both cottages to be shared by a group of 4 people whilst still maintaining privacy. Clematis Cottage retains many of the original features including picture windows with views to open countryside. This pretty cottage provides ideal family accommodation. Whether walking in the Cheviots or sunbathing on our miles of sandy beaches, playing golf on one of our many courses in the area, fishing, swimming, sailing, riding ... we hope that you will indulge in our most popular activity - relaxing!

Directions:
Take the A697 coldstream road from the A1 just after Morpeth. Pass through the villages of Longhorsley and then Longframlington. Approximately 4 miles north of Longframlington you will reach the crossroad where the B6341 (Alnwick/Rothbury road) crosses the A697. We are the house on the Alnwick side of these crossroads.
