Whitelee Holiday Cottages are situated on a working sheep farm within the Northumberland National Park two miles from the Scottish border. Stand at the windows of any of the three cottages and you look out over the largest and one of the wildest National Nature Reserves in Britain. This unique environment is rich in bird and wildlife and Whitelee is ideal for nature lovers walkers and for those seeking peace and quiet. It is an idyllic base from which to explore the many attractions such as Hadrian's Wall Lindisfarne Alnwick Gardens and Castle and Kielder Water & Forest Park. The cottages are all cosy well equipped and offer a high standard of comfort while retaining lots of character. All are graded 4 star and are available all year round including for off-peak 2 3 or 4 night short breaks. NATURE CAMS: from the comfort of your armchair you can watch barn owls foxes badgers and various birds live on the television via CCTV. We welcome pets as part of the family but we do need to charge for them. The cost per pet is £20. Please note that check in time is from 3pm on day of arrival and check out is at 10am on day of departure.
The cottages are all cosy well equipped and offer a high standard of comfort while retaining lots of character. All have inglenook fireplaces with multi-fuel burners and are equipped with widescreen satellite TV with live wildlife nature cam; DVD player; radio / CD player; microwave; washing machine; tumble dryer; dishwasher; and hairdryer. A cot and high-chair are available on request. All bedding (apart from cot bedding) and towels are provided. Natural spring water is available.

Directions:
From the the South & East-take A696 from Newcastle and travel north towards Otterburn. Pass through Otterburn and continue 12 miles. On the left is Catcleugh Reservoir 2 miles after the Northern end of reservoir on the right is the entrance. Look out for the farm sign "Whitelee Farm". If you should overshoot drive up to the Scottish border and turn around but first have a look at the stunning scenery;
