The Coach House at Lynnholm in North Northumberland provides accommodation for two situated on a West facing hillside with lovely views of the Cheviot Hills with the chance of spectacular sunsets. The house is set in a very quiet location on the edge of the moors 2 miles from Rothbury which offers most amenities including late night shopping. Ideal for walking cycling bird watching castles fishing touring the countryside or just chilling. The Coach House has an enclosed garden and a large sundeck where you can eat drink and even cook (barbeque chiminea) outside and watch the sun go down over the distant horizons of the Cheviots and the Otterburn ranges. For bird watchers: webcam in a nestbox connected to tv in cottage (Spotted Flycatcher Robin Blue Tit) Buzzards and Kestrels hunt over the garden almost every day Sparrow Hawks are regular and Peregrines occasional visitors. Chiff Chaffs Willow Warblers Blackcaps Pheasant and Partridge all nested this year. Red Squirrels and Roe Deer may be seen and the resident family of Stoats almost certainly. Alnwick Bamburgh the Farnes Hadrian's Wall Keilder Water the Borders and Scotland are all within easy reach. Ideal for touring Northumberland and the Borders for walking cycling birdwatching and fishing. Particularly suitable for dogs being off the road and close to moorland walks. Stainless steel feeding dishes ground anchor dog bed and even food (by prior arrangement) are available. For those with bikes or mobility scooters we offer secure garage storage and parking for trailers puncture repair kits use of tools and a compressor. The Coach House offers the opportunity of wonderful views of the Cheviot Hills from the garden while you eat or have a glass of wine. You can even cook outside on the chimenea barbeque for which fuel is provided from the surrounding woodland. Secure storage is provided for bikes; there is ample parking; laundry facilities in the main house and if you have walking in mind since you are situated on a quiet track you can start your scenic off the beaten track expedition from the front door.

Directions:
Travel West from Rothbury for 2 miles towards Thropton. Just after village sign turn right at the Cross Keys public house in the direction of Cartington. Stay on this road for ½ mile passing Thropton school on your left and then a road junction also on your left signed for Snitter and you will see on the hill ahead of you a wood. Lynnholm is in that wood and is reached by a drive. The drive entrance is right on the brow of hill and is marked by a sign set in the wall.;
