The building itself is old - it was the White Hart Hotel over 220 years ago with parts of the property about twice that age. Behind our small private car park (space for 3 or 4 cars) are buildings which are owned by the National Trust. Also at the rear is a decked area for relaxing in the sun. At the front is a small terrace sunny and sheltered an ideal vantage point for local events such as the Carnival Flora Dances and Victorian Street Fayre or just sit with a drink and watch the world go by. (There are a further 2 private parking spaces here) Our bedrooms are beautifully appointed to a high standard of decor and comfort. Directions:
On the A30 at Chiverton roundabout (Starbucks opposite) follow signs to St Agnes on the B3277 for about 3 miles. As you enter the village turn right at the mini roundabout past shops on your right (chemist Spar & newsagent) Railway Inn on your left. Go past Barclays Bank on your right at the start of the one-way system and also the Post Office on the right. As you go past Costcutter on your left you will see the Porthvean in front of you on the left directly opposite the Parish Church.;
