We would like to welcome you to a relaxing stay at St Edmunds, a family run guest house with seven ample en-suite rooms and a south-facing lawned garden. Situated on the 'South West Coast Path', St. Edmunds House stands on the corner of Sands Road and Queens Road with a level walk of just 150 metres to the sea front and some 350 metres from Paignton town centre. Paignton is within easy reach of Torquay (by `bus and rail), Brixham and Dartmouth (via ferry across the River Dart). There are a whole host of activities and great places to visit on our doorstep, for which we would be happy to advise guests, including boat trips, cycling, golfing, walking and, of course, relaxing by the sea! An ideal base to explore Torbay, The English Riviera, and the South Devon coast. Whether it`s just a short break away, your anniversary, birthday we will ensure a pleasant stay. For that special occasion we can arrange for flowers upon arrival and/or a personalised celebration cake made on the premises. Accommodation is available throughout the year, with the exception of Christmas (24th - 26th December). For Bank Holidays, a minimum stay of 2 consecutive nights (3 for the Easter weekend) is required. Room rates shown are based on full occupation. When staying with adults, children 0 to 3 years old stay free and children from 3 to 12 years old stay at 50% of adult rate per person per night. Single person occupancy available although supplements may apply. Please note that balance payments by credit card will incur a 2.0% surcharge on transactions. Pets may only be accepted by prior arrangement with St Edmunds.
Our seven bedroom accommodation offers a selection of comfortable family, twin, double and single rooms - all of which are en-suite and pleasantly decorated. Mobility Description:
There is a 175mm (7 inch) step into the guest-house with a further two 100mm (4 inch) steps to access the main building. Ground floor rooms are available as is the dining room, the most narrow corridor is 900mm (3 feet) wide, the staircase to the first floor bedroom is 1050mm (3 foot 6 inches) wide. We are making efforts to ensure that we don`t exclude any users. We try to use clear and simple language. We use alternative text for all our images. The HTML we produce conforms to the standard: XHTML 1.0 Transitional. We have tested the colours we use in the design for contrast. We try to publish all our text content as accessible HTML rather than in other formats such as PDF.
