Acorn Cottage Bed and Breakfast is a picturesque Grade 2 listed cottage set within half an acre of gardens. Situated in beautiful Devon on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and close to the Cornish border. Acorn Cottage is just a 5 minute drive from the ancient stannary town of Tavistock (voted Best Market Town in 2005) which provides excellent shops pubs/restaurants and many other interesting activities. An ideal base for exploring the south west with easy access to Dartmoor and the outstanding peninsula coastline. We are also located just off the Devon Coast to Coast (Route 27) part of the national cycle network. We operate in a relaxed non-smoking family friendly environment. We refill bottles of toiletries rather than buying individually wrapped items. 4. We use recycled products where possible. 5. We buy locally produced and/or organic food whenever possible. 6. We reduce use of water and washing powders by asking guests to keep their towels and sheets for the duration of their stay. 7. We use environmentally friendly washing and cleaning products. We also try to help local wildlife. 1. We feed the birds. 2. We have a wildlife pond. 3. We garden organically.

Directions:
Leave the M5 at J31 and take the A30 towards Okehampton. After the 2nd exit to Okehampton take the A386 to Tavistock. After about 4 miles turn right to Lydford (just before The Dartmoor Inn on your left). Continue through Lydford and Brentor passing the Brentor Inn on your right and Brentor Church (high up on left). When you see South Brentor signposted left turn first right (almost immediately and with no sign post). Acorn Cottage is about 1/2mile down this lane on the left;
