- Bay Tree Guest House has a lovely bright dining room overlooking Southlands Church opposite. We cook all of our breakfasts to order so that they taste as good as possible. We buy all of our ingredients locally and try to source organic products wherever we can. Our eggs are free-range. Our bacon sausages and Doreens black pudding are from the excellent M&K Butchers just along Bishopthorpe Road. We also provide a vegetarian option of our full breakfast with Linda McCartneys sausages.

Directions:
Leave the A1 at the A64 and follow the signs for York for 12 miles. Take the second exit for York City Centre signposted A1036 and follow signs for the City Centre for approx. 1.5 miles. After passing the Marriott Hotel on your right take the first right turn into Knavesmire Road (tree-lined road towards the racecourse). Follow this road to the end around a couple of bends and over some speed bumps. At the end turn left and we are situated 500 metres on the right hand side.;
