Ballintoy is located along the popular sight seeing route known as the Causeway Coastal Route therefore The Fullerton Arms makes an ideal stop off point for refreshments or as your base for a holiday exploring the North Coast. The Fullerton Arms is waiting to cater for your every need from refreshments at the bar, a fulfilling meal in our restaurant, to accommodation in one of our recently refurbished, bright, spacious, comfortable rooms. The Fullerton Arms Guest Inn boasts 13 recently refurbished, comfortable bedrooms which are all tastefully decorated and ensuite. Whether you need a single room or a large family room we can meet your requirements. During your stay with us you will enjoy the highest standards of service and hospitality. Ballintoy is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of North Antrim between the Giants Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, it looks out across the sound to Rathlin Island and beyond to Scotland. As you come over the Knocksoghey Brae from Ballycastle or in from Whitepark Bay and Bushmills you are greeted by spectacular views, each one characterized by the beautiful white form of Ballintoy Church.. It may, deceptively, give you the impression of a Norman tower or even a Mediterranean building, in fact the square tapering tower once supported a steeple which was removed by a hurricane in December,1894, leaving the church with its present day aesthetic, 'unique' look The area around Ballintoy is exceptional for walking, the scenery is stunning and steeped in history and folklore. The village is adjacent to the sweeping curve of Whitepark Bay which can be accessed by a short walk from Ballintoy harbour. The name of Ballintoy like most things in these parts, has two translations, one commonly referred to it as the ' Town of the North ' another translation refers to it as ' The place of the Axe '.
The Fullerton Arms Guest Inn boasts 13 recently refurbished, comfortable bedrooms which are all tastefully decorated and en-suite. For your convenience and enjoyment all rooms are well equipped including television and tea &coffee making facilities.
The traditional Irish style bar and comfortable lounge area make the ideal spots to enjoy a drink and share a laugh with friends, play a game of pool or catch up with the latest sport on our TV screens. Our restaurant serves excellent food and top quality service.
