The Berkeley was built in 1803 by the Hamilton family, situated on the edge of Ayr, the property overlooks Wellington Gardens and is within a 1 minute walk to the town centre, a 2 minute walk takes you to the beach. The Berkeley was bought 6 years ago and has since been a labour of love for family and friends to transform the grand old house into a small hotel, being a listed building it was important we retained its Georgian style yet bringing the property in line with todays safety regulations and modern day living. The first phase now complete and now welcome resident guests who are looking for that little extra at affordable prices. The guest rooms are all individually designed and no expense has been spared using top quality classical furniture, furnishings and top quality linen. Mobility Description:
At the Berkeley we have several ground floor bedrooms located in the Mews house which are all easily accessible and one room has been dedicated for disabled use, this room has a large shower/bathroom and grab rails as standard. The room also has a small seating area for those who wish to eat in their room. Guests in need of a wheel chair can take advantage and use our fold up wheelchair. Your allocated car parking space is about 4 paces from your room door. The main house also has disabled access and facilities and so too does the garden. All our doors are wide and can therefore accommodate easy access with the wheelchair.

Dining Facilities:
- Breakfast available between 9:00am and 10. 00am in the dining room overlooking the garden and in good weather can be served on the terrace. Berkeley breakfast is a feast fit for a King and not to be missed, there is a range of food to suit all tastes from fresh fruits to the national favourite Black pudding! Another favourite Scottish smoke salmon served with free range scrambled eggs. Duck eggs, home made preserves, fruit scones, Fresh kippers and the list goes on. .

From air port terminal take left on to main road. At roundabout take 3rd exit signposted Ayr Prestwick. Travel on the same road for 3miles. At small roundabout go straight over taking the 2nd exit keep in right lane. At the next roundabout take 3rd exit sign posted ring road west. Take left at traffic lights and follow road over river Ayr Bridge straight through traffic lights. At roundabout take 2nd exit sign posted seafront. At traffic lights turn left then immediately right into car park.
