The Crown and Plough nestles in the heart of the village of Long Clawson within the beautiful Vale of Belvoir countryside. The Crown and Plough is a true country pub with luxurious bedrooms and a traditional atmosphere. Reopened since June 2009 it has already been awarded Aspire Magazine's Pub of the Year 2009. The pub is easily accessible for Nottingham and Oakham (20mins). We are also easily accessible from London by train - Kings Cross to Grantham 1hr. East Midlands Airport is only 45 mins away by car. We offer freshly cooked locally sourced food with wines and cask ales specifically chosen to complement the food and enhance flavours. Whether relaxing by a roaring log fire or in one of our sumptious rooms the Crown and Plough is the ideal place to unwind. The 4 star AA rated rooms are all generous family sized rooms and are suitable for multiple occupancy. All rooms have large white fluffy towels and crisp white cotton bedlinen. For a really romantic weekend choose either the Quorn or Belvoir suite. Free wireless internet is also available in the pub. Please note that the pub is open from 5pm Monday - Thursday inclusive if guests would like to check in earlier please contact the Crown and Plough directly when you book. Check in on Friday - Sunday is from 2pm. Food orders are taken until 9pm Monday to Saturday and until 5pm on Sundays.
