Brook Farm is a beautiful listed farmhouse with parts dating from the 13th century. The earliest part of the house was a medieval hall house and a huge low cross beam with a crown post on top spans part of the family room - so mind your heads! Later parts of the house date to late Tudor and Georgian times. In the front of the house there is a spacious twin bedroom and a double bedroom. In the oldest part of the house there is a family room which can sleep up to five people. This room contains the medieval cross beam and crown post. Please note that access to this room is gained by ducking under this beam! Brook Farm is on the edge of the picturesque north Essex village of Wethersfield. The countryside is undulating and unspoilt and is near to the pretty village of Finchingfield. Thaxted Saffron Walden Sudbury Long Melford Cambridge and Newmarket are all within easy reach. Stansted Airport is 25 minutes away. Brook Farm provides a peaceful stay for business guests and if you are visiting friends and family nearby or are just passing through you can look forward to a friendly welcome and a relaxing stay. There is ample safe parking and in the area there are several good pubs and restaurants.

Mobility Description:
Brook Farm is a listed house and the addition of lifts and ramps - altering the appearance of the house - would not be permitted. There are two steps up to the front door and all the bedrooms are on the first floor. Therefore the house is unsuitable for wheel chairs and for those with mobility limitations.

• The lovely long windows in the dining room look out onto the front garden. The gleaming copper and beautiful china displayed give a timeless feel to the room. For the business traveller an early breakfast for an early start to the day is no problem. Breakfast is served from 7.00.a.m. (earlier by arrangement). For those on holiday or travelling breakfast is served until 9.00.a.m. The famously good full-English breakfast is very popular but a lighter breakfast is also on offer.
