This is an ideal base for walkers and mountain bikers (secured storage available) with the highest point in the Peak District Kinder Scout the main challenge for the serious hikers and bikers. A trek to Edale over Jacobs Ladder is popular whilst the Sett Valley Trail and Lantern Pike offering a more gentle route with good view over Manchester. Within easy reach of the historic Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall watch the deer roam in Lyme Park see the otters and owls in the Chestnut Centre go under ground at the Blue John Mine and Speedwell Cavern at Castleton and visit Ladybower Reservoir in Derwent Valley scene of the training for the RAF Dambusters. With all the amenities that the Spa town of Buxton has to offer and within easy reach of the cities of Manchester and Sheffield there is always plenty to occupy your time. The Hotel has 6 rooms in total 3 double rooms one hosting a 4 poster bed and 3 twin rooms. All rooms are en suite have digital TV and tea and coffee making facilities. A substantial full English breakfast is available from 830am to 930am . If you require a packed lunch for your onward journey we are happy to supply one freshly prepared whilst you have breakfast. A full lunch and evening menu is also available until 9pm during the week whilst offering food all day Saturday and Sunday until 9pm . After dinner our licensed bar is a friendly local featuring a marvellous old fireplace and stove.
