The traditional Efendi Hotel is 75 metres from the nearest beach and 200 metres from the town`s bars and restaurants. Icmeler has a nice beach with a backdrop of mountains behind the town. Originally thought of as part of Marmaris the town has developed its own identity. After dark there are a good selection of restaurants, bars and discos.
