A warm welcome awaits at our recently refurbished 17th century Devon Farmhouse, with magnificent views, set in 6 acres on the foothills of Dartmoor. We offer delicious breakfasts with own eggs, wood burning fire, and pretty mature gardens and are ideal for walkers and cyclists. Equestrian B&B is also available. Little Widefield Farm is the perfect place to come for a break. We are 3.5 miles outside Okehampton, one of the major walking centres in the UK. We are a rural retreat but also an excellent touring base, being within easy reach of the A30. The nearest pub serving food is 1.5 miles away at Folly Gate. We have three well appointed bedrooms for Bed & Breakfast all with an en suite shower room and one of our rooms has a super king bed. A varied menu is offered for breakfast and for the coffee connoisseur we have Nespresso Grands Crus coffee, along with homebaked bread and preserves. The dining room/lounge has a wood burning stove with cosy chairs to relax in. Guests also can sit and enjoy the beautiful garden in our large sunny porch. There is a copse, a fruit garden, vegetable garden and 3 separate paddocks. We have a friendly horse called Aladdin, a miniature Shetland pony called Marigold, 2 Golden retrievers and a cat. Our hens provide fresh eggs for breakfast which children can collect. Devon and Cornwall's North Coast, The Eden Project, Rosemoor Gardens, Castle Drogo, Exeter, Plymouth and many more attractions are within an hour's drive. Closer to home are Lydford Gorge, Okehampton Castle, Finch Foundry and Winkleigh Cider Factory, and of course, the main attraction - the Moor itself. With a comfortable, friendly atmosphere and beautiful sunsets, Little Widefield Farm is the place to come and escape, wind down, and create some pleasurable memories.
We have three well appointed bedrooms for Bed & Breakfast all with an ensuite shower room. All rooms are en-suite with power shower, television, hair dryer, wireless broadband, inpidually controlled central heating and bathrobes. Recently decorated in a contemporary style, the rooms retain traditional farmhouse features and are finished to a high standard. Quality linen is used throughout. The wool carpets are deep and soft. Body Shop products are in all shower rooms.
