Just 3 miles from the bustling market town of Barnstaple with its many artisan shops and Pannier market. Easily accessible on the main A39 The Spinney is set back in large mature gardens with stunning views across Exmoor and the Youlston estate. With safe and ample parking to accommodate all our guests with secure storage for motorbikes and cycles The Spinney provides 5 tastefully furnished and comfortable rooms. 4 rooms are en-suite and 1 with private bath. All rooms enjoy crisp cotton bed linen extra large fluffy white towels and luxury toiletries complimentary tea and coffee bottled spring water and chocolates. Clock radios hairdryers and flat screen TVs some with iPod docks and or DVD players. In summer breakfast is served sitting beneath our ancient vine now well over 100 years old in our fully restored Victorian conservatory. Surrounded by orchids and lemon trees you will be invited to relax and enjoy The Spinney breakfast. Fresh home baked bread fresh fruits cereals and organic yogurt is offered followed by our locally sourced and freshly cooked Devonshire breakfast or as an alternative to the more traditional fare choose from one of our specials of American pancakes with smoky bacon maple syrup or smoked salmon and creamy scrambled eggs a top a lightly toasted English muffin. Cream teas High teas and light suppers are available at The Spinney and for your evening meal we have many wonderful local restaurants and pubs. In one of the loveliest areas of the West Country with much to see and do The Spinney is ideally located for your visit to Devon.

All rooms are located on the first floor and accessed via an 11 step stair case with dual hand rails. Rooms 1 and 5 have hand rails in the showers. Due to the age of the house some floors are uneven and slope.

- The Spinney offers three seating areas for dining. Our guest dining room available all year round overlooking the front garden which leads into our restored Victorian conservatory used primarily in the summer months both rooms can seat 8 at tables for 2 and in the winter months for those whom prefer it our dining room to the rear of the house which overlooks the back garden and bird feeders and provides a farm house style table and is made very warm and cosy with the oil fired Aga.
