Ludbrook Manor .... A unique country house in a secluded rural setting with spectacular views to Dartmoor and across the surrounding South Hams countryside. Set over 6 and a half acres Ludbrook manor will take you through a truly decadent experience with it's distinctive and unique design and central tower. We have some of our rooms under decoration. The original house is believed to have been built about 1050 It is understood to have been originally the manor house of South Ludbrook which was mentioned in the Domesday Book and took its name from the Lud Brook a tributary of the River Erme. Now thoroughly renovated and improved both inside and out enjoy our spacious family accommodation with many period features. We also have spectacular suites and rooms all designed with your comfort in mind. You can enjoy peace quiet and privact surrounded by farmland. We have a heated indoor swimming pool that guests are welcome to use during their stay delghtful gardens and grounds tennis courts and a recently planted arboretum! Ludbrook manor is situated about a mile from the villages of Ermington and Modbury in the South Hams area of south Devon renowned for its pretty villages rolling countryside and particularly its beautiful coastline with beaches estuaries and such wel-known centres for sailing as dartmouth Salcombe and Newtin Ferres. To the west is the city of Plymouth from where there are ferries to the Continent. Within very easy reach is the A38 dual carriageway leading east to the university and cathedral city of Exeter where there is access onto the M5 motorway and an international airport. There are railway stations at Plymouth and Totnes with mainline connections to London (Paddington) and there is also a station at nearby Ivybridge.
