Situated in the charming Wiltshire village of Enford in the heart of Salisbury Plain Enford House is an 18th Century Grade 2 listed house situated next to the village church and surrounded by a picturesque thatched wall and garden. The cottage is a self contained wing of the main house and sleeps 6 in 3 rooms (2 double and 1 twin). With comfortable beds good quality bed linen ensuite bathrooms Wifi and a well equipped kitchen it is a home away from home. Good village pub 2 minutes walk. As well as 3 ensuite bedrooms the property has a comfortably furnished sitting room with an open fireplace 2 large sofas armchair and TV & DVD. A fully equipped kitchen/dining room with a table that seats up to 8. Door from here leads to south facing patio area. Patio area has a table and 6 chairs. Kitchen has a washing machine dishwasher microwave oven hob and grill. WiFi is available throughout the property. Guests are welcome to enjoy our walled garden. A door within the thatched wall leads directly to the churchyard next door and is the first stop for many walks. The house is close to the River Avon and has access to the private fishing on the river (at an additional charge of £50 per person). The local village pub which serves good food is a 2 minute walk from the house. There are many local tourist attractions including Stonehenge Avebury Salisbury Cathedral and Longleat. The historic cities of Salisbury and Marlborough plus the market towns of Devizes and Pewsey are all within a 10-20 minute drive. See our Out and About' page for more detail. The cottage has a lovely patio kitchen/dining area and comfortable sitting room with open fire. Wifi is available throughout the property. The Garden is a major feature of the property. The garden is around half an acre in size and is surronded by a wonderful old thatched wall. Part of the garden is a working garden with vegetable patches and the other half comprises of an apple orchard and 2 other lawns where you are welcome to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Mobility Description:
The house is nearly 3 hundred years old and we aim to meet the needs of all our guests to the best of our ability. However there are some aspects of the property that might make staying with us difficult for people with limited mobility. For example 2 of guest bedrooms are on the first floor. However the kingsize double does have handrails leading upstairs into the room. The twin room on the ground floor has a couple of steps leading to it.

Breakfast is laid out for customers to have at their convenience prior to check out at 10am. We do not serve a cooked breakfast but everything else you can think of! Directions:
Turn off the A303 at the Amesbury Roundabout onto the A345 to Marlborough and Netheravon. Carry on this road (going over one small roundabout) for about 10 minutes going past signs to Netheravon and you will then come to a sign saying Enford. Just after this sign there is a right turn with a large brown sign pointing to the Swan Inn and also Enford. Take this and we are the 4th house on the left behind a thatched wall in front of the church. We are opposite a post box.;
