Ashbourne Farm is a characterful 17th century farmhouse set in a peaceful rural location. It is only a 10 minute drive to Dartmouth or to the beautiful beach at Blackpool Sands. Also within easy reach are Totnes Dittisham Slapton Sands Start Point and the lovely Dart valley. Just across the river is Torbay known as the English Riviera which encompasses Brixham Paignton and Torquay. The rugged beauty of Dartmoor is about 45 minutes drive away. The farmhouse is a Grade II-listed longhouse with ample parking in a courtyard surrounded by ancient stone barns. Nestling in a quiet valley there is plenty of bird & wildlife and on cloudless nights an exceptionally clear star-filled sky. Because traditional longhouses are divided by a central passageway weve been able to allocate half the house for exclusive use of our guests. Guests have their own large sitting room with oak beams and a huge open fireplace - evening log fires can be provided on request. Guests are welcome to share our garden or use the sun terrace which faces open countryside - ideal for watching the sunset.
The property is historic which gives it character and beauty. The rooms are spacious well decorated and perfect for a comfy stay. The rooms all have dimable lights to compliment the decor and to suit your mood. Due to the age of the property it does mean we have some low ceilings.
The property is a 17th century longhouse set in the heart of rural Devon 10 minutes from historic Dartmouth or the beautiful Blackpool Sands. Guest have use of a lounge area with an open fire their own private sun terrace and use of our large garden.
