Our village Anglican parish church is dedicated to St. Lawrence and seats around 300 people. The church is built of stone in the 13th century in the early English style consisting of chancel nave aisles south porch and an embattled western tower with pinnacles and containing 5 bells. Inside there are lively stiff-leaf capitals and dog tooth decorations on the south door. The Early Norman black marble Tourrai font is square in plan the bowl is curiously carved resting on a large central shaft with a smaller one at each angle the whole surface is enriched with sculpture in low relief and is one of few in England. The church was restored in 1883/84 and additional work was carried out in 2009/10
We have extended our Grade II listed building to encompass six en-suite bedrooms one single and five double rooms. All our rooms go through a regular redecoration process to maintain Four Star Inn standards. Our accommodation area has its own entrance which is controlled by a numbered combination lock and allows guests to come and go as they please. All our rooms have central heating for the winter months and all bathrooms have heated towel rails. Wi-Fi internet access available in all rooms.

On arrival the entrance to the car park is from Burham Lane (rear of the property). The surface is level and gravelled. We have a flat courtyard area to the entrance of the accommodation and the Inn. Vehicles & motorcycles do not have access into this area. The accommodation entrance has a slight slope.
