Enjoy a relaxing stay in our Grade II listed 18th century farmhouse in the Cornish countryside near to Launceston the historic capital of Cornwall and a short hop from the A30 and the Cornwall/Devon border. A tranquil and scenic place to stay at the end of your day spent exploring the spectacular Cornish coastline and wonderfully clean beaches or perhaps the pretty North Devon coast with its quaint seaside towns. Each has a private entrance and a patio for your personal use ensuring maximum privacy. Breakfast is served in our traditional dining room which retains many original features. We use local produce wherever possible with bacon and sausages from our excellent local butcher who supplies fully traceable Cornish meats. Lighter breakfast options and homemade bread are always available and vegetarians are catered for. We are close to both Dartmoor and the lesser trod but no less dramatic Bodmin Moor with challenging walks and good cycling routes. Fishing and golf courses can be reached within a few minutes by car and the National Trust historic houses and gardens of Cotehele and Lanhydrock are nearby. Hill Park is perfectly placed for a daytrip to Eden or the Lost Gardens of Heligan allowing you to leave behind the hustle and bustle when you return to rest. Our garden with views towards Dartmoor and across the Kensey Valley towards North Petherwin is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries.
Both rooms are decorated in a contemporary rustic style with wooden furniture (some antique). NB Our address is Egloskerry but we are approx 1.5 miles south of the village. From A30 travelling E or W: Turn off at Kennards House jctn (for North Cornwall) follow A395 to Pipers Pool. Take 1st R signed Egloskerry. Follow lane beyond Pipers Pool village for approx ½ mile and then take 1st R (on a L-H bend and EASY TO MISS). Pass bungalow on L and Tredundle Farm on R. Carry straight on and follow country lane for approx 1m until you reach Hill Park a white cottage with slate hangings.;
