About our guest house A cosy atmosphere and a warm welcome provide an ideal starting point for your holiday. The guest house was refurbished in March 2012 and takes seven people a night. Since the refurbishment it has been given a modern feel but still keeps the character of the old Scottish house. I take pride in service and try to make every guest feel like a friend away from home. Iona Guest House is an ideal base for your local holiday outings in the region with many interesting excursions available from Inverness. Situated just outside the city center so no night clubs/pubs noise to deal with yet only a five minute walk to the abundant nightlife. Take a 20 minute drive in any direction and you will find Lochness Culloden Battle field castles or even dolphins. These are just a few of the many things for you to see if Golfing is your ideal holiday then we have fabulous courses all within a few miles. Make Inverness your base and travel further afield? Sky is a two hour drive and you will still be back in time for dinner. John o'groats is three hours through the most amazing scenery. Or just go west and explore the mountains and see the wild deer. With a buffet breakfast of fruits yoghurt juice cereals cheese and crackers or really push the boat out and have the traditional Scottish cooked which consists of Egg bacon sausage tomato mushrooms black pudding haggis and of course potato scone. All my produce are sourced from local farmers or bought locally where seasons allow.
