You can leave your car and set off on foot in any direction on some of the most popular footpaths in the Peak District. There is a reception area licensed residents lounge and dining room. All are tastefully furnished in keeping with the character and atmosphere of this warm and friendly home. The lounge and bedrooms all have extensive views of the surrounding countryside. Use the garden to relax and unwind after your long day walking the dales or sightseeing. Enjoy a pot of tea whilst watching people climb Thorpe Cloud or relax with the newspapers or a good book. We have a large variety of birds that come to our garden and feed right outside the lounge windows from where you can sit and watch them feeding - they include blue tits finches nut hatches coal tits and robins. Pheasants pick at the seeds and weve also had on occasions lesser spotted woodpeckers.

Our bedrooms are traditionally decorated to suit the age and style of the property yet they offer all the mod-cons you may require during your stay.

We have ample free on-site parking. There is a residents lounge complete with a cosy wood burner. Feel free to roam around the immediate gardens and also our large pasture at the back of the property. Free wifi is available in all public areas.

Directions:
Take the A515 towards Buxton. After a mile turn left to follow signs for Ilam and Dovedale. Continue along the road to Thorpe however please ignore your Sat Nav when you get to the village it will tell you to go around the back near the church. Keep on the main road through the village pass the delimiter signs and we are the first house on the left opposite Thorpe Cloud hill.;
