This magnificent 1000-acres estate, embroidered by olive and cherry trees, close to the city of Braganca, is an outstanding example of a manor house built in the 17th and 18th centuries. It belongs to the Pessanha family, descendants of Manuel Pessanha, a Portuguese teacher who specialised in navigation, during the kingdom of D. Dinis. A sense of history, culture and tradition, as well as elegant hospitality maybe experienced within the house itself and in its welcoming private chapel, evidencing a richly golden carved wooden altar painted in blue, red and white, where images of Saint Antonio, Saint Francisco and Saint Caetano can be identified.
