Mobility Description:
Ancient Shipbrokers is situated in an elevated position though it is central to Pentewan village. There are 3 entrances to the property all of which involve steps or a hill. The climb is definately worth it for the views and the secluded privacy but may prove challenging for some people with mobility issues. There is a hand rail by the granite steps at the entrance to the property and further on at the steps into the Guest House. Of the three entrances to the property one is suitable for pushchairs and bicycles being a sloping path that takes the longer route through the garden. The quicker routes involve a few steps and winding paths. Pentewan village comprises a valley with steep cliffs by the sea. Most houses are built on the hillsides but this excludes the pubs shops and village Square which sit right at the bottom at sea level. The steepness contributes to the beauty of the village and we are noted as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty . We are also a Conservation Area.
