Tigh na Fraoch (gaelic for House of the Heather) is a traditional stone built Edwardian villa situated in the centre of the forest village of Nethy Bridge in the Cairngorms National Park - the largest National Park in the UK. (4 of Scotlands 5 highest mountains are within the park). We are close to hotels / restaurant and the village stores / Post Office. Other local visitor attractions include forest and riverside walks to suit all abilities the RSPB Abernethy reserve one of the last remnants of Caledonian native pinewood in Britain is renowned for Red Squirrels Capercaillie and its world famous Osprey Centre.
Tigh na Fraoch is gaelic for House of the Heather so accordingly our guest bedrooms are named after heathers. Our Four Poster room is 'Carolyn' and the twin/double is 'Mauvelyn'. Both rooms are spacious with super king size double beds easy chairs flat screen TV radio alarm well stocked hospitality tray. Both rooms have ensuite facilities with Carolyn having a shower over the bath and Mauvelyn has a shower room.
Large mature garden and secluded courtyard garden available for guest enjoyment. Bird & Red squirrel feeders attract many species of bird & red squirrels on a regular basis. The wildlife can be viewed from our picture gallery but you will discover that some birds and definitiely the red squirrels are so tame as to appear whilst you are sitting in the garden. The Breakfast Room includes two easy chairs and flat screen TV for guest enjoyment. On cooler days a log fire is an attraction.

We have an accessible ramp at main entrance. Although there is a step between the main building and the dining room we can provide a temporary ramp if required. Both of our bedrooms are on the first floor accessible via a staircase.
