Scalpay View is located on a traditional croft on the edge of the tiny community of Arddorch by a beautiful sea loch called Loch Na Cairidh. We are situated just off the A87 main road 14 miles from Kyleakin and the Skye Bridge. The nearest airport is at Inverness and there are regular coach services from Inverness and Fort William to Skye. Broadford six miles to the east offers shops bike hire Tourist Information Centre and other services. Portree - the island s capital - is 19 miles to the north-west with its picturesque harbour and choice of shops pubs and cafes. All rooms are modern large ensuite doubles overlooking the sea loch and have ensuite facilities also TV and hairdryer. We have private parking on site. Buses are available and do stop here but it is recommended you hire a car for this location. We are able to offer different styles of breakfast including the traditional Scottish cooked breakfast smoked salmon and scrambled eggs pancakes alongside cereals and fresh fruit salad. Enjoy views overlooking the beautiful privately owned Isle of Scalpay and the Isle of Raasay. This is great hill walking and mountain climbing country: the Black & Red Cuillins are nearby also Blaven Beinn Na Caillich and Bheinn Mhor. Good fishing is also possible with a choice of fresh and sea water rivers and lochs. Alternatively bring a bicycle (or hire one locally) and enjoy the wind in your hair and the freedom of Skye for a complete escape!Facilities:
