Set in the heart of the Donegal, Gaeltacht, Caisleain Oir (Castles of Gold) Hotel has established itself as a vibrant family run Donegal hotel with an emphasis on good quality food and a comfortable guest environment. Caisleain Oir formerly known as Teach Jack was run by Dom and Anne Mc Devitt. In 2002 they renovated the bar to a twenty bedroom hotel. Dom and Anne are still involved in the hotel with the help of their family, Anita, James and Joe.
Guest accommodation comprises twenty en-suite rooms, all with direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and television. The majority of the rooms overlook the bay and it is a view to be savoured as guests relax and unwind and take in the tranquillity of the Donegal Gaeltacht area. For the comfort of all guests, the hotel now operates a no-smoking policy in all bedrooms. The restaurant's menu is a la carte with a wide selection of meats, poultry and seafood, and guests will enjoy fresh local produce cooked with elegant simplicity in comfortable surroundings with a well appointed wine list.
The bar and lounge are popular for music, chat and fun. There is live music at weekends with a traditional irish music session on Saturday nights.
