The Islay Hotel is nestled in the fishing village of Port Ellen overlooking the marina and harbour and is an ideal base for exploring Islay, whether you are coming for a walking break, golf holiday, distillery tours or just to relax and unwind.

The Islay Hotel was recently completely rebuilt to the highest standards with 13 rooms, restaurant and Whisky bar. Whilst young, we offer a traditionally friendly welcome.

Food is locally sourced and prepared with care and flair. Coffee, tea and home baking is available all day in the bar, or you can have a dram or a glass of wine in the evening. Local musicians regularly play in the bar (bring an instrument if you want to join in) and impromptu music evenings often produce lasting memories.
