Eco Policy:
At Parkhead House we are very aware of the need to look after our environment and recycle glass paper plastics and food oil waste. As we are in the country we try as much as possible not to waste electric power but we need to keep some lights on as there is no street lighting and all our lighting is now by low power bulbs. Our heating/hot water is on a timer and all the radiators have thermostats to control or central heating as much as possible. We have two real fires and logs avaiable in the wood store along with extra blankets and hot water bottles should you wish to use these. We don't replace towels every day if you are staying longer than one night with us but will of course replace all towels placed in the bath. As much as possible we use local suppliers for our food most of which comes form the Hopetoun Estate.
