Crown Cottage Bed and Breakfast formerly the Rose and Crown Inn is set in the centre of the historic Plague village of Eyam in the heart of the Peak District National Park. We have four guest rooms 3 doubles and one twin all with en-suite TV hairdryer and hot drinks facilities. Children are welcome and an extra bed can be set up in either a double or twin room. Please call if you wish to book with children. The sunny breakfast room overlooks the garden and has a lounge seating area and a wealth of local information walking guides and maps. Guests have use of a piano and free Wireless Internet access is available throughout. Outside our garden has 2 decked areas with seating and sun umbrellas. You can relax to the sound of the stream that flows through our garden into the Delph Nature Reserve. We have private off-street parking behind the house and offer secure bike storage and a drying room for outdoor gear. Pack lunches are available at extra cost provided you give us at least 24 hrs notice. The historic village of Eyam is a tourist destination in its own right with its story of self sacrifice during an outbreak of plague in 1665. Village attractions include the Parish Church and Museum both with displays about the events of 1665 and also Eyam Hall run by the National Trust. The surrounding Peak District has much to offer for many outdoor activities including walking cycling climbing and caving. The nearby market towns of Bakewell and Buxton and historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon plus many other attractions make this area of the Peak District a treasure trove for visitors.
Crown Cottage has 4 guest bedrooms 3 doubles and one twin. Our guest bedrooms are all on the upper floor of the house. One room has an en-suite bathroom the others all have en-suite shower and toilet. A folding bed can be accommodated in some of the rooms for young children please phone to discuss requirements if you wish to book with infants/young children. The rooms all have TV hairdryer and hospitality trays.
We have secure storage for cycles and a drying room for wet boots and outdoor gear. Private off road parking at the rear of the property. Free Wifi in the guest areas. Guests have the use of the breakfast/sitting room and outside veranda and garden for relaxing in. Local area OS maps and walking guides are available for guests to borrow.
